Matthew 5:9

Chuck reflects on the Beatitude from Matthew 5:9, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God." Through a story of a surprising fortune cookie and teachings from Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, he emphasizes the importance of “getting our spiritual affairs in order.” He admires the Quaker practice of silent worship and highlights the idea that being a peacemaker means actively working toward peace. Although he wishes he had the power to end global conflicts, Chuck encourages starting with small acts of peace in our immediate surroundings, embodying "shalom" wherever we are.
