About

The Center for Christian Education exists to provide catalytic coaching, leadership training, spiritual formation, spiritual formation events, and on-site consultations to clergy and church leaders. We exist to help leaders “get stuff done.”

Catalytic coaching helps leaders move forward in their work and personal lives. We lead individual and group coaching sessions for leadership, preaching, and teaching. We publish Bible Study Teaching Plans by subscription for interactive class sessions for adult and youth learners. We also regularly produce free devotional videos and articles to encourage church leaders and laypersons. Our weekly newsletter offers helpful links and resources for helping you “get stuff done.”

Bo Prosser, Ed.D., holds two master's degrees in Theology and Christian Education from Southern Seminary and a doctorate in Adult Education from North Carolina State University. His dissertation focused on the use of humor in teaching adults. His unique brand of “enter-trainment” comes from his research.

As a speaker, coach, and adult educator, Bo has been sharing his brand of love and laughter with churches, corporate clients, and adult learners for over 30 years. He has published seven books and over fifty articles and contributed chapters to numerous titles on leadership, creativity, humor, and learning.

The second half of Bo’s career used all of the parish ministry experience to work with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship (CBF). His work with CBF was extensive, managing staff, helping local churches, and coaching mid-level managers in church and corporate settings.

His work with CBF took him nationwide and around the world, coaching and consulting with local congregations, pastoral leaders, and congregational leaders. His work with corporate clients has taken him to textile mills, university athletic departments, company headquarters, and small businesses, working with managers, leaders, and staffs.

The “third half” of Bo’s career now focuses on coaching, speaking, and consulting for churches and corporate entities. Whether he is on a Zoom call or an in-person engagement, he is clearly focused on enhancing the performance of his clients. He is positioned to help his clients move forward with creativity and imagination that leads to growth and “people-care.”

Whether he is leading strategic thinking conversations, coaching mid-level managers, or speaking to corporate boards, Bo is engaging and always working with the client's needs in mind. He lives out his vision and mission daily, regardless of the setting.

Bo is married to Gail, and they have two adult daughters and two sets of twin grandchildren! In addition to collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia and vintage baseball cards, he is a singer-songwriter. Bo plays guitar and has performed original songs at the world-famous Bluebird Café in Nashville.
