God is Great

Chuck shares how a simple prayer from his childhood, "God is great, God is good," became more meaningful after reading Rabbi Harold Kushner's book When Bad Things Happen to Good People. The book explores the struggle of suffering, using the example of Rabbi Kushner's son, Adam, who died at 14 from Progeria. Chuck reflects on how suffering, especially when it strikes undeserving individuals, can challenge our understanding of God. Despite the confusion surrounding suffering, Chuck maintains his belief that God is both great and good, offering hope through faith, even when answers aren't clear.
